Carlee Joe-Wong | cjoewong [at] andrew [dot] cmu [dot] edu
Carlee Joe-Wong is the Robert E. Doherty Associate Professor of Electrical and Computer Engineering at Carnegie Mellon University. She received her A.B. degree (magna cum laude) in Mathematics, and M.A. and Ph.D. degrees in Applied and Computational Mathematics, from Princeton University in 2011, 2013, and 2016, respectively. From 2013 to 2014, Carlee was the Director of Advanced Research at DataMi, a startup she co-founded from her research on mobile data pricing. Her work has received several awards, including the NSF CAREER Award in 2018, the INFORMS ISS Design Science Award in 2014, and the Best Paper Award at IEEE INFOCOM 2012.
Marie T. Siew | marie_siew [at] alumni [dot] sutd [dot] edu [dot] sg
Marie obtained her PhD from the Singapore University of Technology and Design in 2021. Her thesis was on resource sharing and pricing algorithms for mobile edge computing. Before that, she obtained a BSc. in Mathematics from Nanyang Technological University, Singapore in 2016. Her research interests are in network economics, edge computing and edge intelligence.

Taejin (TJ) Kim joined CMU as a Ph.D. student in 2018. He grew up in South Korea before coming to the United States. TJ received his B.S. from Franklin W. Olin College of Engineering in 2018, where he studied wireless communication systems. His current research is in the field of edge-computing and virtual network functions.
Yuhang Yao | yuhangyao [at] cmu [dot] edu
Yuhang Yao joined CMU as a Ph.D. student in 2019. He received his B.E. in Computer Science, IEEE Honor Class, from Shanghai Jiao Tong University in 2019. His research interests are in the areas of network economics in edge computing and graph representation learning in social networks.
I-Cheng (Delphi) Lin | ichengl [at] andrew [dot] cmu [dot] edu
I-Cheng Lin joined CMU as a Ph.D. student in 2019 and is co-advised by Professor Osman Yagan. He received his M.S. in Communication Engineering and B.S. in Electrical Engineering from National Taiwan University (NTU) in 2017 and 2015 respectively. His research interests involve analysis and optimization of large-scale networks such as social networks, transportation networks, communication networks, general network science and data analytics.

Eve Hu joined CMU as a Ph.D. student in 2019 and is co-advised by Professor Bob Iannucci. She received her B.S. in Physics and in Computer Science with highest honors from the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill in 2019. As a graduate student at CMU, she is interested in program decomposition for IoT systems and intelligent edge computing.

Tianshu Huang joined CMU as a Ph.D. student in 2021 and is co-advised by Professor Anthony Rowe. He received a B.S. in Electrical Engineering at the University of Texas at Austin in 2021. His research interests involve applying machine learning to embedded and distributed applications.
Baris Askin | baskin [at] andrew [dot] cmu [dot] edu
Baris Askin joined CMU as a Ph.D. student in 2022 and is co-advised by Professor Gauri Joshi. He received his B.S. from Electrical and Electronics Engineering at Bilkent University in Ankara, Turkey, where he grew up, in 2022. His research interests involve machine learning in federated settings.

Baran Atalar joined CMU as a Ph.D. student in 2022. He received his B.S. in Electrical and Electronics Engineering from Bilkent University in Turkey. His research interests lie in multi-armed bandit problems and federated learning.
Shouxu Lin | shouxul [at] andrew [dot] cmu [dot] edu
Shouxu Lin joined CMU as a Masters student in 2020. He received his B.E. in Software Engineering from the Australian National University in 2019. His research interests involve mobile edge computing, federated learning, and machine learning systems.
Jinhang Zuo | Ph.D. student (2017-2022), now Postdoctoral Research Associate at UMass Amherst and Caltech, advised by Mohammad Hajiesmaili and Adam Wierman.
Yichen Ruan | Ph.D. student (2018-2022), now Research Scientist at Meta.
Harry Jiang | M.S. thesis student (2020-2021), now at 3M.
Madhumitha Harishankar | Ph.D. student (2017-2021), now Co-Founder and CEO at Nume Crypto.
Xiaoxi Zhang | Postdoctoral researcher (2017-2020), now Associate Professor at Sun Yat-Sen University.
Yuxuan Jiang | Visiting Ph.D. student from HKUST (2017-2018), now Senior Inventive Scientist at AT&T Labs.
Several M.S. students have also done research projects with our group over the years. They have joined Ph.D. programs at top schools like Purdue University, as well as companies such as Amazon, Google, Facebook, Goldman Sachs, and Microsoft.
