Zhang Lab - Emerging Materials and Devices

Welcome

Our lab, founded by Prof. Xu Zhang, focuses on the development of emerging nanomaterials and fabrication of unconventional electronic and photonic devices. We use a highly interdisciplinary approach to advance the fundamental understanding of unique physical properties of novel nanomaterials and to enable new applications in high frequency electronics, neuromorphic computing, infrared sensing, spectroscopy, energy harvesting and biomedical devices. Our research interests include large-scale synthesis, device fabrication and system-level applications of atomically thin 2D materials, including graphene, transition metal dichalcogenides, tellurium, boron nitride, ferroelectric materials, and other emerging nanomaterials. Publications of our lab can be found here.
