Design Rule Check (DRC)

Part I . DRC verification.

1. You Must have already created or opened a layout before you can use the DRC verify function.
2. In the layout editor window click Verify => DRC. This will bring up the DRC window.
   
   Make sure that in the "Rules File" field divaDRC.rul is entered
   Make sure that the "Rules Library" field is checked and that scn3mlc_submLib is entered in the field.
   Click OK.
3. Cadence will run the Design Rule check and the CIW window will tell you the results of the check.
   
4. If there are errors in your layout they will flash in the layout editor window.
   
   To get an explanation of what each error means in the Layout Editor window click Verify => Markers => Explain, and then click on any flashing marker. This will bring up a window explaining the error.
